Watershed has been engaged as lead consultant for the redesign of an entry courtyard for a heritage villa located deep within the Former French Concession of Shanghai.

Watershed will be working with the client to transform their exterior space into a work of contemporary garden art with relaxed breakout areas for private business negotiations and more formal event venues for client functions and presentations. The concept is based on a scattering of platforms around the landscape that float over planted beds and shallow pools at different levels to create a hierarchy of spaces using elements of bronze, bamboo and fire to create multifunctional but refined landscape.
