New Jersey Marine Mammal Rescue Center & Marine Environmental Education Center

The site was chosen because of the existing Sea Mammal Stranding Center is in need of expansion and I proposed to purchase vacant gas station adjacent to existing site.  The redesigned Marine Mammal Stranding Center is located in Brigantine, New Jersey.  This project will be the only sustainable marine rescue center in the area. The facility's sole purpose will be to rescue sea mammals and provide education to the general publicon the dangers to the marine mammal population. There has been a recent overflow of unhealthy sea mammals along the Eastern United States, that created a need for a larger updated facility at this location. There is also a current lack of volunteers, visitors, financial support, and facility space limitations, due to the increasing demands of unhealthy sea mammals. The main objectives of this project are to focus on correcting inefficiencies and space limitations of the current building design by providing a newly designed facility. Another objective is to take this small coastal community here in New Jersey and create a national landmark that locals can be proud of and provide a means to become involved in the community with great activities.
