This project moves the ideological stitch into a formalist study of interior and exterior folding patterns.  Each pattern system revolves around historical uses of the stitch in western and eastern society.  With new technologies in bending and holding fabrics, the possibilities of fashion and building are becoming more and more apparent.  As a first move, the use of this form is merely simplified into the column.
