This was one of the many new projects at UNR over the course of a 5 year period.

Lumos & Associates was contracted to complete the Landscape Architectural work for this site because we brought some great ideas to the table.

On the north end of the site, there was a large swale and that gave us an opportunity to be creative and represent the building.  We created a bioretention swale with French drains and surrounded it with a double helix of plants to represent a DNA strand.

On the interior of the building, we imported some green bamboo.  Because Reno, NV is extremely dry,  we installed some fogging systems to ensure there was an adequate humidity level for the bamboo to survive.
