PLATINUM LEED LA FITNESS STUDY                Client:  LA Fitness International
Program:  A full service health club in a tight urban mixed-use development adjacent to public transit, housing and commercial activities.  Underground parking and retention also in scope.   Special emphasis was given to enhancing the brand identity of LA Fitness while giving the community and the developers an iconic building that showcases the exploding Green movement.

Smart Design Elements:
• Living wall on south-facing side
• Solar collectors on grillwork
• Cisterns on rotunda and flat roofs
• Living “workout lawn” on roof with downtown views
• Light monitors for all interior spaces where program allows
• Underground and shared parking
