Webb & Brown-Neaves is a high-volume residential design and construct company with an aspirational brand. The focus of the role was to deliver organizational change, (including product innovation) whilst maintaining full strategic and operational management.

Achievements: I transitioned to a new industry to lead a 34 year-old business and utilized strategic and project management skills to turn the business around both culturally and financially. I earned the trust of the business owners, the hearts and minds of the team and delivered the required organizational change and nine new, award-winning demonstration products within two years.

FJM Equities, Development Manager / Project Manager

FJM Property is a private development company with a diverse property portfolio. The role focused on the acquisition negotiations of two projects with values of $200m and $800m and the development of a heritage-listed, multi-storey building in a down-town location.

Responsibilities:
 Negotiation of of 30-year, tri-partite Joint Venture development agreements between Government, Indigenous Land Owners and FJM Property including direction of legal drafting for land acquisition and sale processes.

 Direction of legal drafting to guide valuation methodologies, entitlement processes cost fluctuations, profit distribution, staged property settlements and agreement dissolution procedures.

 Consultant team management. (Attorneys, Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Town Planners).

LWP Property, Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager for ‘Ellenbrook.’ Ellenbrook is a $US 2.25b master-planned community project. The project involved 10,000 residential units, 860,000 ft² commercial and retail space; transport and recreational functions and was the scale of a new Town.

Responsibilities:
 Annual Business Plan, Quarterly Board Papers and Quarterly Board reporting.

 Financial management of $60m annual expenditure including annual budgeting and quarterly reviews.

 Leadership of strategic planning, design, financial, entitlements, construction and sales functions of the project including day-to-day coordination (concept to construction and sale) of sub-projects with a value of $150m.

 Consultancy team appointment and management (Architecture, Civil Engineering, Town Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Surveying, Transport, Irrigation and Public Artists).

 Pricing, sales target and forward planning responsibilities requiring strategic skills and the ability to preempt market conditions.

 Negotiations including Government Joint Ventures, land sale contracts to $10m claims and contract variations.

 Management of the in-house project team (10 staff) including sales and marketing, accounting and client liaison.

Highlights:
 Becoming the youngest person in Australia to manage a project of this size and creating an innovative new product which revolutionized the affordable market and created an addition $6m in annual sales revenue. Within this role a significant contribution to the creation of a new town was made by delivering over $675m of residential housing opportunities and $185m of commercial and civic built-form and infrastructure including 4 schools, 2 apartment buildings, a new shopping mall and a new Main Street.

Winten Property Group is a high-end real estate development company. I was responsible for the design, approvals, bidding and construction of three, 300 lot communities each with a value of $20m - $90m.

Responsibilities:
 Management of external consultants and supervision of works on site including budget control and contract bidding.

Highlight: In a sink-or-swim situation, this role required prompt, independent and self-taught understanding of the process of land-development including the methods to call for bids; manage consultants, devise and monitor budgets, deliver infrastructure services, supervise works on site and deliver outstanding aesthetic results to win several State and National Awards.
