About

Having started out with my professional career  9 years ago, I have established myself as a highly experienced architectural designer and project leader.

During my 4 years in New York I was exposed to the full breath of the practice of architecture and during the 4 years at Assael in London these skills have been further shaped and developed. Last year of work in San Francisco, CA have furthered my knowledge of successfully lead the project and manage a team.

My architectural exposure has been on numerous exciting projects from the highly regarded Manhattan South Seaport project to the politically charged Green Bank project in Leeds; from dilapidated historic refurbishments to the fit-out of a New York fashion photographer’s townhouse.

On South Seaport, a 150,000sf, 6-storey sustainable mixed-use development, my colleagues and myself blended the old and new in a coordinated design of 11 buildings, with my own personal involvement in the winning of the design competition, the carrying out coordinated refurbishment design and designing one of the sites key new buildings, Building A. The design evoked a collapsing form physically connected to and between two existing listed 1940s buildings. The building achieved USGBC LEED accreditation by adopting many sustainable features including green roofs, geothermal piles and exposed recycled wooden structure.

My first UK project was the £80m Green Bank development where we designed the residential, retail, restaurant, leisure within a new public riverside space and public park. Through proving my capabilities on Green Bank I was charged with the delivery of both the Acton Bus Garage and Salem Road, London projects. One a highly political residential project formed around the supermarket of one of the leading chains, the other a project with grand visions in a physically and politically constrained site for a Middle Eastern Client.

These larger projects have been surrounded by my personal design delivery of numerous smaller projects from being selected by Bob Fox, Cook + Fox to design his own Connecticut house extension; to the Atalanta Building interior design in the Meat Packing district; to my competition design for the Akbulak, Kazakstan homes for which I produced a tree house designed around views and daylight.

I have extensive experience in the design and procurement of architecture from hitting the stringent planning requirements first time to delivering sustainability not only new build, but also in the form of sustainable refurbishments.
