The 3D Design Competition, 3rd Place

Competition Briefing: Suppose you had a 3D printer at home. Design the first consumer product you would like to 3D print and use.

The competition is open to anyone who can design 3D objects. Entries will be accepted between August 31, 2011 and October 20, 2011. If you want to participate, just click on the participate link.

The first prize is an Ultimaker 3D printer and a 3D print of the design, 2nd Prize is a 3D scanner and a 3D print of the design and 3rd prize is a 3D print of the design. Price winners will be announced during the 3D Printing Event

AIA Scholarship Award, Scholarship

RWU Architecture students received five of the seven $3,000 scholarships awarded for 2007/08 by the AIA Rhode Island's Architectural Forum, the charitable arm of the AIA RI. The Forum's scholarship committee considers applications from students studying architecture at RI institutions, and from RI residents enrolled in out-of-state schools. The committee based its selection on academic records, personal statements, work examples and letters of recommendation.
