New York architect and former Yale School of Architecture Dean Robert A.M. Stern has been announced as the winner of the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award. The prize is part of the Créateurs Design Awards program recognizing accomplishments in architecture, interior and product design, journalism, and photography.
"Known for his commitment to a modern architecture that connects the past to the future, building upon tradition and promoting a sense of place, Mr. Stern sees architecture as a narrative public art," explains the jury's decision.
The award will officially be presented to Stern in January.
