Oliver Peoples San Francisco

Marmol Radziner created a distinctive architectural identity for the Oliver Peoples boutique in San Francisco by connecting the space to its rugged coastal surroundings. The design draws inspiration from found objects on the beach, ships in the bay, and the colors of sunset and sun-bleached gray.
A live-edge wood slab table, reminiscent of logs washed ashore, centers the space, while multi-length planks of live-edge wood supported by slender geometric metal bases display ornaments and smaller items. Custom bronze-colored lighting fixtures add polish and stand out against the weathered look of the consultation tables. An eye-catching woven-wood wall detail evoking the construction of a ship’s hull creates a flow that moves the eye along the lit shelves of glasses frames. Our goal was to maximize the functionality of the location, encourage customers to engage, and reinforce the Oliver Peoples brand.
