Reflect: The Tall Buildings Reconsidered, Tectonics is a high-rise project located in Bunker Hill, Downtown Los Angeles, across the street from Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. The project explores the tectonic of glass curtain wall and how to represent it, which are adapted as the design method of the curtain wall itself.

Glass representation is often overlooked and merely portrayed as itself in the architectual discourse. This project challenges it by misreading the context around it through shifting and applying noise on the reflection. This representation allows a dynamic corporeal reaction from the building to its context. The building takes information from its surrounding, filter, misread, and reflect it back as an abstraction; a comment on how capitalistic media operates. The glass in architecture positions itself in the realm of realism.

The project also challenges the singularity of tower massing typology. The shift of the mass creates an urban interior condition to activate the site while maintaining small footprints
