Submission for the 2018 Design for Dogs competition hosted by Facings of America and the Arizona Animal Welfare League.  The doghouse caters to the motions of Moos the dog when finding a comfortable resting position.  The geometry is derived from the body positioning of the dog during two key points and then merged three-dimensionally to accommodate the stretch and curl.  A hard exterior of plywood and a steel skeleton provides protection, while the canvas and fabric interior provide ample comfort.  The material palette is meant to mimic the sandy, copper hues of the owner’s coat.  The design was awarded the 2018 People’s Choice Award.
