Ghirardelli Architetti has been shortlisted in the competition to design the museum and exhibition complex of the new National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) in Moscow. The NCCA, currently housed in a former factory, will be moved to Khoydynskoye Pole, a former airfield in Northeast Moscow. Ghirardelli Architetti is one of ten firms selected to participate in the competition, chosen from more than 250 participants.
The new NCCA will have a construction budget of four billion roubles, and will serve as the infrastructure of collections and exhibitions; as a space for workshops, symposia and residence.
