About

I completed a Masters in Architecture at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in December of 2019 and am currently pursuing full-time employment. Since beginning architectural studies in 2013, the professional and educational experience I have gained equip me to design with excellence and succeed in a variety of work environments. I have accumulated six-hundred AXP hours working full time in the United States as well as working internationally in Fortaleza, Brazil during summer breaks. I am fluent in Portuguese and functional in Spanish. In my work experience, I have worked on low-rise commercial buildings, municipal park renovations, and climate resilience urban design.

In my work at MIT, my research focuses on alternative design processes, adaptive re-use, accessibility, the right to the city, forms of public gathering, and design-build community partnerships. Some of these projects include public infrastructures for the preservation of pre-gentrified East Boston; affordable housing in Vargem Grande, an informal settlement in Sao Paulo, Brazil; social housing to stake claim in land owned by the community of Belgrade, Serbia; and an underground athletic club in the abandoned concrete foundation of the Chicago Spire site.
