Firm Elevates Three Individuals as Part of a Multi-Year Leadership Transition Plan

OKLAHOMA CITY – Bockus Payne, an interdisciplinary architecture, interior design, and planning firm, is pleased to announce the elevation of three leaders as the first part of a future-facing, multi-year transition plan.

“I am filled with gratitude that the people we have worked with and relied on for decades want to carry the firm forward, and that they believe in what we have built,” explained Bruce Bockus, AIA, LEED AP, Chairman of Bockus Payne. “Chris, Mat, Collin, and the rest of our team are going to take the firm to greater heights than it has ever been before.”

The elevations are as follows:

  • Chris Cleburn, AIA, has been promoted to managing principal. In his new role, Chris is excited to take on greater responsibilities managing daily operations of the business. An employee of Bockus Payne for nearly two decades, Chris’s passion lies in developing design solutions and building relationships with clients. He is an expert in designing specialized education facilities and has spearheaded numerous projects for Francis Tuttle Technology Center, one of Oklahoma’s premier career training schools. In addition, Chris has experience designing everything from churches to dog daycare centers to corporate offices.

  • Mathew Siebert, AIA, has been promoted to managing principal. As a principal, Mathew looks forward to finding opportunities to balance leadership and dedication with humility and appreciation. Also approaching two decades with Bockus Payne, Mathew’s design philosophy is to listen first. He delights in the opportunity architecture presents to positively impact people’s lives. He leads a diverse range of projects, from fire stations and Greek housing to religious institutions and corporate headquarters.

  • Collin Fleck, AIA has been promoted to director of design. In his new role, Collin will focus on bringing energy and inspiration to all design projects in the office. Throughout his 15+ years of service at Bockus Payne, Collin has contributed his expertise to notable projects such as The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and the renovation of Oklahoma City’s iconic BancFirst tower. He believes that architecture reflects human relationships, the times we live in, and how we work together to solve complex problems.

“This is very exciting for the next generation and those to follow,” said David Payne, AIA, president of Bockus Payne. “These individuals have greatly contributed to the growth and success of this firm, as has each member of our team. We are thrilled to extend our experience, knowledge, and gratitude to them all as they forge their own future in this noble profession.”

These promotions represent the first phase of a multi-year process through which the firm will pass leadership responsibilities on to the next generation of professionals, while maintaining the legacy of quality work the team has built over the past 36 years.
