About

I am an adventurous architectural designer living in Tokyo. I have designed with a number of award winning architecture firms and recently earned my M.Arch from the University of Oregon. I currently design for Kengo Kuma and Associates as an architectural intern, assisting in the design of the Portland Japanese Gardens Expansion.

I am intensely analytical, highly driven, and the master of a vivid imagination. I am passionate about design research and schematic development for projects that change perceptions of what architecture can be in an urban context. My career is focused on new programmatic hybrids creating dense urban environments with refined craftsmanship and forward looking integrated technology. I am most interested in architecture of the public domain and its opportunity to dramatically enhance experience of space.

Snapshot:

- I put out fires. I love the pressure of fixing quickly escalating systemic problems.

- Calm, Collected and Efficient.

- Powerful sense of ideation. Perhaps with a sense of naivety, I believe anything is possible in our built environment if only we are brave enough to venture into unknown territories.

- Experienced. I have worked with award winning firms Kengo Kuma and Associates, atelierjones, and IDC Architects. My interest in schematic/design development, information graphics and systems analysis have been a recognized asset in collaborative work environments.

- A futurist. I am most interested in programs and design problems that address today's architecture with careful attention to the ways the built environment will be reinterpreted ten, twenty, one-hundred years in the future.
