Kingsville Border Patrol Station (32M)

A San Antonio division of Houston-based Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. will oversee a project to build a new Border Patrol station in Kingsville.

The current Kingsville station is located in a 50-year-old barracks building at the Naval Air Station Kingsville and does not provide adequate space and resources.

The contract to build the new station was awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The multi-building project will be built on a 30-acre site and will seek the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification.

The new station will include a main station building, a maintenance facility, fueling and vehicle wash stations, an impound lot and a canine shelter. The project also includes security and surveillance systems, paving, fencing with security gates and a storm drainage system.

The Federal Services Division of S&P in San Antonio will oversee the design and construction of the new facility.
