Golfo Aranci Single Family House

The project considers surrounding nature as its main inspiration element. Facades are composed by same granite stone that surrounds the building, landscape design repeats mediterranean vegetation and gives a new interpretation to existing sand dunes. In particular, the project characterizes the building as an entity in the form of “open rock”, lived wrap, coated stone and rough plaster which, emerging from the sandy soil, juts out into the lagoon to the west and looks out to sea in the direction est. The base of the villa is characterized by a set echelon similabile in a sand dune that contains wooden elements with function curbs, naturalistic walls and railing. These elements are intended to represent for shape and material the backbone of a wreck at the bottom of the long beach. From a contextual point of view the project gives ample space to the integration with the existing through the use of mediterranean vegetation in the dune, the choice of the stone as a coating of “rock open” and the pastel color of the plaster can repeat the shades of sand. The materials also take into account the color of existing buildings in the intention to create a chromatic whole day in tune with nature and built.
