Simonsait, Tarrasa, ES, Architectural Intern

At Simonsait, I gained significant knowledge and expertise, especially in the areas of steel and façade systems.

Working at Simonsait while studying for my Bachelor of Architecture, I obtained valuable insights into steel manufacturing. The company's premises included not only technical offices but also a large workshop where the construction elements were executed. The constant interaction with the workshop team was incredibly enriching for me as a student and an early-career professional.

My responsibilities encompassed a wide array of technical documentation, site visits, measurements, and suitability reports. A few highlights of my role included:

· Design work centered on steel pieces, ventilated façade elements, and canopies.
· Regular construction site visits to understand real-world applications of our designs and to conduct measurements.
· A significant project was designing the construction details for the central stand of 'Le Labo' in Galleries Lafayette, Paris. This required developing a design that could be transported to Paris by truck and assembled on-site without welding. The successful completion of this project received excellent feedback from the client.

The knowledge and skills I acquired during my time at Simonsait have proven invaluable throughout my professional journey.
