Sectional Analysis of Clark and Menefee's Inn at Middleton Place, Charleston, SC

A sectional analysis of public and private spaces at the Inn at Middleton Place in Charleston, SC - a case study for my design thesis for the M.S. Historic Preservation degree.  The modern hotel additions are carved out and distributed throughout the adjacent woods.  The new structures seek to embody 'what was lost' of the site's historic fabric through reinterpreting the proportions of the ruins and using material coding to 'remember' the juxtaposition between the charred volumes and opulent interiors.
