About

I am a 2011 MLA graduate from Kansas State University and I have a BS in Plant Sciences with an emphasis in Landscape Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I studied Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. I value team work and enjoy a multi-disciplinary atmosphere for creative problem solving and innovative design solutions. I am highly organized, self-motivated and outgoing. I have several years of experience in the design-build industry with two different companies in Missouri specializing in commercial and residential landscapes. During a landscape architecture internship in Oakland, California I gained experience with transit planning, learning environments and green roof design. I met with clients, prepared construction documents and led a pro-bono green roof project through the design process.

I am proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011, Land F/X, Google SketchUp Pro 8, Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Bridge), ArcGIS and Microsoft Office. I look forward to advancing my skills and being a part of a professional team. I am interested in Community Design and Planning, Eco-Tourism and Resort Design, Downtown Revitalization, Waterfront and River Planning, Campus Planning and Design, Green Roofs, Park and Recreation Planning and Design, Transportation and Transit Planning, Urban Planning and Design, and High End Residential Design.

I am currently seeking full time employment that utilizes my ambition, creativity and value for team work. I am willing to relocate anywhere in the United States as long as I will be working under a registered landscape architect so I can obtain licensure.
