Georgetown University, Washington, DC, US, Masters, Real Estate Development

Generally, the program fully integrates both development and finance aspects of the real estate industry. It emphasizes both real estate and construction as well as addresses environmental and energy issues at every phase of the real estate process. The program takes a vanguard role in promoting international real estate study and practice as well as corporate real estate. The real estate program emphasizes both private and public sector real estate, and not only focuses on the business aspects of real estate but also the design elements.

Specifically, the development track helps one understand the financial considerations, market demand, project feasibility, financing, and environmental considerations that drive decisions on whether and where to develop.

Hampton University, Hampton, VA, US, MArch, Architecture

The Master of Architecture degree is derived by studies of context, place-making, architectural responsibility, and its relationship to the built environment. The study of transitional urban areas and neighborhoods of diversity broadened the scope and scale of design. The studies concentrated on the awareness, dynamic abilities and reactions of architecture from a minimal scale (furniture) to a vast scale (urban design). As a master's program, the inquires led to a design research thesis that elicited architectural responses to environmental (i.e., physical, emotional and social) issues.
