About

I am a master student at the Arizona State University majoring in Landscape Architecture and just graduated in this May.  I have worked on several public open space and urban environment projects in studio and during internship; my classmates and I have worked on public park improvement project in Phoenix and got an AzASLA reward in 2012. I obtained knowledge of public environment, ecological design and sustainability from these projects. So, I am very experienced and interested in multiple company project types. I expect to obtain more professional knowledge from practical working experience.

During my time of 2 years in master degree at ASU and 4 years in bachelor degree at Chung Yuan Christian University studied in landscape architecture, I have taken several courses related to landscape design, planting design, architectural management, urban planning and sustainability and did great in those classes. I believe these courses have enhanced my ability to perform a job, and I expect to expand my knowledge and abilities as a landscape architect in a landscape architecture firm.  For previous work experience, I have interned in the City Planning and Development Department at City of Phoenix, and also interned at a landscape firm during studying in college.  In addition, I have worked in a big landscape architecture company in Taiwan during the time I was applying for graduate school. I assisted my team to work on project presentation images and diagrams, contact with clients or related departments for information.  Furthermore, I have worked on the public parks-“Enhance park” project with my classmates, we communicated with committee, architects and residents to make our project success. Then we got award from AzASLA in 2012. These experiences have improved my design, management and communication skills.  I am experienced in multiple works and project styles in both USA and Taiwan; these special experiences have broadened my horizons and enrich my knowledge of planning and design.

The combination of my 6 years degree in landscape architecture and work experiences has equipped me to be a successful landscape architect. Therefore, I strongly hope I can have a chance to gain my professional development.
