About

I am a licensed architect and LEED AP, in California bringing a diversity of experience and interests to my work. I am open to creating a partnership with the right person, whether fellow architect, developer or builder - or to working with the right firm at an intermediate to senior level.

I've served as a designer and project manager for large-scale affordable housing, market rate multi and single-family housing, restaurants, museums, schools, as well as urban design and public park projects. While living in Santa Fe, NM, I devoted a year to creating gallery-quality pieces from cast, glass fiber-reinforced cement, pigment and steel. I love both the design and the construction process and like getting my own hands on materials when there's time.

I completed my graduate degree in architecture in New York City at Columbia University and have subsequently lived and worked there, in Paris, France and in New Mexico and California, focusing on sustainable design and community-service projects. Current interests are: design for elderly communities and their social integration, as well as the history of Zen Buddhist practice places and monasteries. I would love to work on projects that engage these aspects but am happy to engage fully with any project that sincerely furthers sustainable goals.

I'm proficient in Revit, Sketchup, Vectorworks, Autocad, the Adobe Creative Suite and am currently learning HTML, CSS and Javascript to satisfy an emerging passion for website design.

I also teach architecture studios part-time when my schedule allows and write on architectural subjects.

I'm open to travel and may consider relocating to NYC, Britain, France or Germany for the right fit.
