About

My name is Danielle Chase and I am a recent Interior Design graduate from Florida State University. I have a passion for design that has only been magnified through four years of school and internships.  I am a self-driven, innovative, and creative designer looking for a junior design position or internship. My goals include working with a design team with the same passion for beauty and function while learning from successful professionals. I love to travel and learn knew ways of life and how others live.

Employment

Bass and Bass Ltd. Inc., Tallahassee, FL, US, Antiques Appraiser and Design Intern

As an antiques appraiser I put together appraisal packets for clients. This included taking pictures of their belongings and researching to find either the resale or insurance value. I came across many interesting and beautiful antiques in the north Florida/ south Georgia area. Researching and writing descriptions helped me hone my design vocabulary and understand monetary values of antiques.
I also worked one-on-one with the principal Interior Designer at the firm helping her create floor plans and renderings, select fabrics and furnishings for clients, as well as minor office work for the company.

Jan 2012 - May 2012

Inbar Architect, Sarasota, FL, US, Intern

As an intern I Revit to principal architect while transforming 2D plans into 3D computer rendered models. Over the summer I helped design a three-story LEED certified beach house and the offices and labs for an expanding agricultural company. I also met with clients to discuss possible renovation possibilities for their homes.

May 2011 - Aug 2011

American Eagle Outfitters, Sarasota, FL, US, Sales Associate

As a sales associate in retail I greeted customers and assisted them with their shopping. I learned a lot about customer service and how to communicate with customers. I also ran the cash registers, signed clients up for special promotions, and kept the store clean and friendly.
