About 

Alejandro Santiago Villoch graduated from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico School of Architecture in 2006. He has a strong research and writing background as demonstrated by the two AIA awards won in those fields Alejandro also excelled in the design phase of his education winning design and furniture competitions, besides giving lectures in Puerto Rico and the United States for ACSA (Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture). 

In his professional life he has been working for a firm in Ponce named Atelier 66 csp for the past eight years.  This experience has given him the opportunity to be a part of the preservationist/renewal process named “Ponce en Marcha” and “Ley 212”.  The firm’s projects have had an immediate and beneficial impact in the town’s recent private and governmental development. Recently he participated with urban planner Patrick Urbain, Economist Luis Rey Quiñones and Atelier on the development strategies for the Urban Centers of Guanica, Villalba and Lajas. Alongside Anastylosis the construction side and the sister company of Atelier he has had on-site experience with the complexities and realities of rehabilitation and conservation projects expanding his view and understanding of historic structures. For the past three years he has lectured at the new school of Architecture at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico were he gives design and preservation courses.

For the past five years he donated time and services and later became Vice-President for the Board of Directors of the “Centro Ponceño de Vida Independiente” (CEPVI) a non-profit organization that helps to educate and promote the independent living philosophy for persons with disabilities.
