I have over 4 years of experience working internationally in New York and China. After graduating from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2008, I worked for Easton + Combs as a junior architect, working on two museum competitions. I assisted on the conceptual design and helped to further study the spatial effects by building rigorous 3D Rhino models, SLA models and renderings. In 2009 I moved to Shanghai working first for Aedas, a large multinational architecture firm and second for Sparch (formerly Alsop Architects), an award-winning design studio. While at Sparch, I worked on two projects, a business cultural center (GFA 1,300,000sqf) and large mixed-use commercial and high-rise residential plaza (GFA 2,000,000sqf). In building upon my experience I worked on these projects from concept to design development stage and collaborated with local design institutes on construction drawings. I specifically helped to design various parts of the project including the “glass ribbon” exterior skin, residential entry canopies and retail façades and helped coordinate the production of SD and CD drawing packages. Since my return to New York from Shanghai in 2012, I have been brought on as a Project Professional consultant at Woods Bagot focusing on local and large scale projects overseas.
