About

I graduated with a Master's of Architecture University of Florida in May 2012. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida in 2004. Since graduation, I have worked on a contract basis with firms in Tampa, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Jacksonville, while looking for a permanent position.

Employment

Independent Design Consultant, Florida, Independent Design Consultant

As an Independent Design Consultant for Rowe Architects Inc., I have assisted the Project Architect on a variety of projects, most recently a renovation/addition at the University of Florida’s Weimer Hall. The job duties included measurement and analysis of existing site conditions. I have gained valuable knowledge of the profession by attending numerous meetings between the design build team and the client, from design development through substantial completion. Along with regular job site meetings, I walk the site with the Project Architect in order to assess any roadblocks that may have developed during the construction phase. I have also assisted in preparing documents for various project interviews while representing the firm in multiple pre-submittal meetings.

I have also conducted field measurements and prepared construction documents for existing residential addition/renovation projects throughout North Central Florida. Completed projects include a set of preliminary as-builts of an existing 2500+ square foot home for Barnett, Fronczak and Barlowe and construction document sets on multiple additions for Jennifer Langford, AIA, CNU, PA.

Florida Community Design Center, Gainesville, FL, US, Lead Exhibit Designer

As lead exhibit designer for Florida Community Design Center, I designed and implemented the layout of an exhibit of work for a joint studio of architecture and landscape architecture students, in partnership with Plum Creek. The exhibit was open to the public and was successful enough for the client to install a long term exhibit in the community.
