About

I recently completed the Master of Science in Architecture program at the University of California in Berkeley. My research focused on the effect of interior and exterior shading on daylight and occupant comfort. I am presently working with the Windows and Daylighting Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Prior to returning to graduate school I worked for three years as a consultant in New York City, initially as an environmental consultant at Atelier Ten, and then as a facade consultant at R.A. Heintges & Associates – a consulting firm specializing in curtain wall design. While working at Heintges I was involved in design and construction drawing development, shop drawing review, full-scale mock-up testing, and site and factory inspections. My experience to date has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of the range of factors involved in the design and construction of high-performance facades from the standpoint of weather and structural performance as well as building energy use and occupant comfort.
