• POST-SANDY DECONSTRUCTION: I assisted the deconstruction and cleanup of Hurricane Sandy destructed boardwalk in Far Rockaway, NY as well as over a dozen destroyed homes in Breezy Point, NY directly in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NYC PARKS, and the NYCEDC.

Through my work with the Center for Resilient Design, and research based on state and local leaders, varying demographics and typologies, state and federal funding, current conditions and future projections, I developed prototypical designs for housing, mixed-use development, and public buildings at a range of scales and locations along the Post-Sandy shorelines.
My regional resiliency research and integrated adaptive designs assisted The Interboro Team’s “Living with the Bay” submission for HUD’s Rebuild by Design competition that was awarded $125 million dollars, making it one of six interdisciplinary winners worldwide.
