About 

My name is Zakiya Franklin and I have recently graduated from Columbia’s Master of Advance Architectural Design program. I characterize myself as a very dedicated and hardworking individual whom it attentive to details. The next step in my career is to develop a long relationship with a firm, one whose idea is to emphasis the strategy and logic of a design and to carry it through out the entirety of a project. By submersing myself in such an environment, it will help me stay focused and dedicated towards my goal to become a licensed architect.

With regards to the characteristics of myself, I like to be very efficient and meticulous with my time. Any time and effort that is dedicated to my training is made well worthwhile. I demonstrate the skills acquired and exceed beyond expectations. I possess exceptional presentation skills, both verbally and visually. My ability to time manage, multi task efficiently, and work with all sorts of people has proven to be an asset whenever applied. I am exceptionally well at handling stressful situations and remaining focused. I take every job that I am assigned seriously. I have experience in most of the latest 3D, graphic, and drafting softwares. Additionally, I have experience in physical model building in various materials. From previous internships, I have acquired knowledge of general office tasks related to an architectural firm and hand on experience with the different phases of a project. Phases such as schematic design, bid sets, construction documents, and its addendums.
