I just graduated from RISD's 3 year MLA program. I am currently working as a freelance landscape designer, in addition to being a color consultant and muralist while looking for full time employment.
I owned and operated a mural and decorative painting business for 12 year, which I started in Chicago, and moved to Louisville, KY before enrolling in RISD in 2008.
My thesis dealt with exploring ways in which the landscape could support cirriculum and encourage community while empowering elementary school children. I attended the International Green Schoolyard Conference held in San Fransisco this past September, to further explore ways in which design can enhance and support the development of our youth.
I am passionate about using design as a tool to educate, empower and enhance the lives of underprivileged communitites.
