Currently I run my own design/build firm in South Pasadena, CA. I do small commercial projects, tenant improvements and residential remodels, additions and renovations.
Previously I worked in the hospitality design industry for high end hotel and restaurant designers in Los Angeles and in New York City.
I am looking to get back into hospitality design or a related field because of the slow down in construction. Also I am bothered by the increasing number of government requirements (fees) and restrictions (lead abatement) for a small firm with a shinking profit margin.
