This project was an investigation into the ability to create architecture from a field of particles. However, running parallel to this process of architectural discovery was the desire to answer to a program and the materials of architecture. The collision of these two approaches led to a fully computational approach where particles are frozen to behave like architecture in one of many possible configurations that can only exist for a moment before moving on to a different form. While seemingly independent, these particles answer to a larger overall desire for a certain organization that creates a succession of exhibit spaces along the belly of the building with individual studio apartments for visiting scientists suspended from above.
