Employment 

Mauk Design, San Francisco, CA, US, Junior Designer

I work with the principal of the firm in the fast-paced environment of exhibit design. Responsibilities:

-See project through from initial conceptualization sketches to final construction and use.
-Use Rhinoceros and SketchUp to build computer models, then generate renderings for the clients, post-processing in Photoshop.
-Use Illustrator/InDesign for layouts and drawings to send to client.
-Physical modeling using basic materials as well as wood equipment and lasercutter.
-Direct client and fabricator communication throughout the entire process, including meetings, conference calls, emails and telephone calls.
-Produce design intent drawings for each exhibit design to send for bids in the fabrication process.
-Write and layout the company newsletter, four times a year.
-Update and layout a brochure highlighting the work of the company over the last 25 years.
-Office responsibilities including answering phones, sending emails, dealing with repairs and internet solutions as well as organizing and cleaning.

Worked with a handful of other students to design and fabricate a camera obscura in the forest of Eugene, Oregon. All designing, planning and construction took place over a ten day period.
