JAAX is a small architecture office based in DTLA.

We are dedicated to design and research of projects of different scales and typologies across the country and overseas. Projects we work on range from boutique retail shops to hotels, flagship stores and multifamily developments.

We have an immediate job opening for a Senior Architect with multifamily experience in the Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

• Leading project teams
• Responsible for the production of Architectural drawing sets, and Consultant drawing and design coordination
• QAQC & Standards Compliance
• Material research, specification and code research
• Leading permitting & CA activities
• Project coordination, including consultants, design team, clients and city
• Leading Internal and external meetings

Qualifications

• Professional degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Architecture
• 10-12 years of professional work experience, with a strong multifamily portfolio. Experience with affordable housing / ED-1 or similar process strongly preferred
• Excellent written, graphic and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe CS
• Current authorization to work in the US
