New York Institute of Technology            B.S. Architectural Technology

Education

New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), New York, NY, US, Bachelors, Architectural Technology

Completed the B.S. in Architectural Technology requirements as a night student, except for the senior year, attended full time. Worked as full-time draftsman during the day, mostly in high-end architectural woodworking, i.e., traditional wood interior paneling, armoires, wall units, cabinetry, store fixtures, etc, ...and later in traditional millwork, meaning, hardwood doors, windows and stairs.

Additional non-academic studies included CNC, new software, and of course, BIM applications. Built my own woodworking shop, which gave me hands-on experience with tools. Also, before the NYIT undergraduate program I attended the Institute of Design & Construction (IDC) for a number of years as a night student taking some architectural and engineering courses that proved to be complementary and quite invaluable to the more formal, but less hands-on, studies that were to follow.
