According to <em><a href="https://gothamist.com/news/fema-begin-strategic-drawdown-largely-empty-javits-center-and-usns-comfort" target="_blank">Gothamist</a>,&nbsp;</em>as of last week, only 141 of those 2,500 beds were occupied. The conversions are being handled by a federal response team led by the Army Corps of Engineers.
