Why not give Drake’s Toronto mansion a virtual tour this Holiday weekend?

If you’re reading this it’s not too late: Die-hard Drake fans looking for a little architectural distraction during the American holiday, which was a byproduct of the Civil War, can now find respite in the form of a new virtual tour of the Grammy winner’s massive 19th-century limestone private residence in Canada.

Coming in at exactly 50,000-square-feet, Ferris Rafauli’s vision features a full-size NBA court and aesthetic enhancements like Nero Marquina marble floor inserts, a marble kitchen island and bath tub, and a custom marble chandelier (there’s marble everywhere). One thing that I find is a bit unsettling: he’s got a closet full of Birkin bags for his “future wife.”

Friends of Residential Treasures: LA (FORT: LA) are offering locals and others the opportunity to experience and learn about the history of Los Angeles residential architecture. Compiled by a group of curators dubbed "trailblazers," the carefully-outlined trails will highlight the architectural beauty of LA.

Design Marfa is ready to share fresh insight into desert-living design in their 2015 Symposium and Home Tour, happening on September 18 and 19 at the Crowley Theatre in the Texan town of Marfa.

Hosted by Design Marfa — the non-profit who created the Marfa Multi-Family Housing Competition — the two-day Symposium will feature relevant discussions led by an international array of architects and designers.

Design Marfa — the non-profit that hosted the Marfa Multi-Family Housing Competition this past fall — announced the details to their 2015 Symposium and Home Tour taking place September 18-19 at the Crowley Theater in the Texan desert town of Marfa. Although the topics focus on desert environments, they could still offer some handy tips for different locations and climates.
