About

After receiving a B.S. in Building Construction from the college of Architecture at Virginia Tech, I worked for 15 years in an array of roles in construction – field engineer, project superintendent, project manager, and project controls manager. I particularly enjoyed spending time in the field working with the construction trades and learning about their craft.  I was fortunate that the majority of projects I worked on were a collaborative process with design representatives and construction trades involved from the initial stages.

I graduated with a master of architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I strive to be involved in projects where the relationship between construction craft and design are evident in making meaningful spaces and creating engaging atmospheres. Besides my knowledge of construction means and methods, I also have a good understanding of business operations and accounting practices.  I am a Project Management Professional (PMP) and have a certification in facilities management.
