About

Updated 2020: I am a Landscapist, Urbanist, and Architectural Instructor located in Troy, New York. I am interested in landscape r&d, materialism, novel ideation of public space in rural areas, living materials, living-inert hybrids, and the histories, philosophies, and ethics implicated in practices of design. My personal and theoretical research focuses on examining and interpreting water as design material and philosophical framework. Recent research includes adaptive membranes for live matter in the face of unprecedented climatic aberration.

Circ. 2012: I am a graduate of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute school of Architecture, where I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2012. At Rensselaer I pursued depth studies in ecology, landscape architecture, anthropology, and graphic design.

My research interests are in exploring the possibilities of landscape infrastructure, and ecological analysis and design. Recent projects include documenting indigenous technologies in following locations: Shishmaref, Alaska; Ifugao, Luzon, Philippine;, and for the Island of Bali, Indonesia. My interests in landscape infrastructure are in watershed management, indigenous rights, and marine ecosystems management.
