For the open house last Friday we had a dog and pony show of a crit which resulted in many people producing models and such just to have something to show. I jumped straight into a model that is now a little overbearing but rethinking it is proving to be more formidable a task than I had expected. Instead of drawing that diagram I really need to draw right now, I think I'll share a random collection of images.

Interior of the Javits center in NY. JC and I were down there on Monday doing a site survey for a project we're working on with five others as part of Toshiko's class. Getting drunk at the Swedish Consulate General's townhouse on Park Ave. was a required part of the expedition as well.
I like the McFetridge quality to this graffiti in the NY subway.
During spring break last month I was in California and stopped by the De Young construction site. A gaping hole in the fencing begged for visitors, so I took the opportunity to hold a small communion with the pocked copper facade.
It was all fun and games until someone got locked inside a studio desk.

There's a surprising amount of space in there. Who is going to accept this challenge: how many people fit in your studio desk?
The De Young Museum is great! It's not going to open until October [probably later in reality], but they already hung cool little lamps and put in funny little chairs in the lobby.
also, there were HUGE styrofoam blocks [at least 4 feet on the shortest side] in geometric piles all around. I was there at night, so there was no one to ask about their purpose. any ideas?
