Don't believe the grad school hype

Again, everyone, sorry for not posting in a while, and also for the random Billy Dee Williams post, but hey, he is a bit of a hero around here...

One thing that has been on my mind a bit for the last few days is an issue that seems to come up pretty often on archinect-the grad school dilemma. Now, I know that I too was guilty of this sort of thing when I was going through the application process, but trying to sum up a school into a neat catch phrase doesn't always work. I guess I feel that Penn is a perfect example of this. Maybe it is just in a state of flux right now, but I don't think it really fits the mold of what it is traditionally seen as - a "craft" school. Sure, craft is important, but it is only one aspect of a varied curriculum. I guess my point is that if you are looking at schools right now, the best way to find out what is going on is to look at the work that students are currently producing. That is why the school blog project has so much potential...

That said, any questions that I can help answer are welcomed through this forum! Also, I will try and get some more examples of work up here to try and show some of what is current here, although now guarantees as we are quickly approaching final reviews! AGGGHHHHHHH!
